Text Box: Parish Development Meetings Last Monday of each Month in the Undercroft Meetings start at 07:00 pm Meetings are informal and everyone is welcome Meetings are suspended until September. Text Box: Vestry Meetings Second Monday each Month Meet in the Undercroft Evening Prayer will start at 06:30 pm. Vestry Meeting will start at 07:00 pm Text Box: The Synod of the DMV included an update for the process of talking to Rome about being in visible communion.  Although the first meeting was held in the Vatican, many details remain to be worked out.  If further details are desired, contact Fr. Forrest. Text Box: Weekday Bible Study The weekday Bible Study class has been suspended until September.  In the Fall, we will start on St. Paul's Epistle to the Romans. Text Box: Adult Education Class The Adult Education class has been suspended until September.  In the interim, we will hold an Adult Forum.  You bring the faith-based questions and the discussion will unfold from there.  We believe it is important to take your faith into the political arena.  We believe the political arena should not be brought into church.  We'll contain our discussions to faith issues and how we deal with the world around us.

Text Box: The Outreach Pantry is in need of supplies, especially cereals, grits, cream of wheat.  Our donations go to TLS (for Children and families) who provide an integrated spectrum of services and supplies.  We welcome all food and winter clothing contributions. Text Box: Ladies of Trinity Great Rummage Sale has morphed into a Great Book Sale to be scheduled later in the year.  Save your books, CDs and DVDs. Outreach The word itself sounds nice!  The Ladies of Trinity have an outreach program that helps the needy in our immediate community.  We have been able to get a list of families who live in the Mission area who are in dire need.   Twice a year we review the list and select several families who might benefit from a helping hand.  These families are sent a $100 gift card which can be used at Wal-Mart.  The money is often used for prescriptions, diapers, school supplies or clothing.  Many of these neighbors are barely getting by and it is a blessing to us to be a little bit of help.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Text Box: Landscaping Volunteers We have a number of challenges on our property. The Redbud tree at the Undercroft door is threatening to drop branches on the roof over that door. We also need dirt along the foundation on the south side of the building. It would be nice to have the ground and lawn meet the top of our curbs. There are probably more challenges that I haven't noticed. If you have some talents in this area and some time to donate, we'd love to have your help.   We need volunteers to water the plants at church throughout the summer.  Our thoughts are to have at least 6 volunteers who would take responsibility for watering for a two specific weeks during the summer.  Only one week will need to be covered if we get 12 volunteers.  Please let Fr. Forrest know if you are willing to participate.  Rudyard Kipling would be proud of you  

Text Box: Confirmation Class A confirmation class will be held this fall starting on September 12th.  The classes will be conducted by Dcn. Michael Grear and Janie Burgett at 09:00 am each Sunday in the Undercroft.  See Fr. Burgett to save your seat in this class.

 

 

 

 

 

Text Box: Ladies of Trinity Outreach The Outreach efforts of the Ladies of Trinity are a well-kept secret.  They strictly obey Matthew 6:3.  (Look it up if you want to know their motto.)  The notice above details their approach to helping those in need. They are largely funded by a small donation from Trinity’s budget and the contributions they receive directly.  Particularly in today’s economy, they always have more needy families than they can help.  You can enhance their ability to help others with a contribution to the church with the designation “Outreach”.
