Our Leaders

  • Nate Beasley

    LEAD PASTOR

Originally from the North suburbs, God grabbed a hold of Nate’s heart from a young age and captivated him with a call to serve the church with his life. Nate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Illinois as well as an M.A. in Biblical Studies from Wheaton College. Nate has four children and has been married to his wife Sarah since 2011. For fun Nate loves to juggle. He began a juggling business in 2008 named Catch This! and together with his friend performed at many venues across Chicagoland including Navy Pier and Six Flags.

  • Joel Warren

    CONGREGATIONAL PASTOR

Joel primarily preaches, teaches, and disciples the congregation. He is passionate about the Church of Jesus Christ, which is partly what led him to Moody Bible Institute and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School where he met his wife, Kate. Joel is originally from the great state of Minnesota but he and Kate currently live in the West Town neighborhood of Chicago.

  • Taylor Yangas

    CHILDREN’S MINISTRY DIRECTOR

Born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, Taylor discovered her passion for Jesus and ministry while attending Eastern Illinois University. After graduating with a degree in history in 2015, she has been a part of Trinity Anglican Church and working in college ministry, church administration, and children's ministry. Her passion is to show others the freedom and joy of pursuing Jesus and helping children grow in their knowledge of God's love for them and others. She has worked in childcare since 2017 in both private nannying and Christian daycare settings, and is excited to bring her experiences to the Trinity Anglican team as the Children's Ministry Director. You can often find Taylor playing video games, debating about Star Wars, reading at a coffee shop near her home in Bridgeport, and testing out new recipes or crochet patterns.

Parish Council

  • Wes Braden

    TERM THROUGH JANUARY 2024

Wes has been part of the church for 3.5 years, and he is grateful for its impact in his life. He currently works at a startup called Clay doing a little bit of everything that is not engineering. He and his wife Beatriz live in Logan Square, where they enjoy reading, playing with their cats, and enjoying Chicago’s dining scene.

Wes is excited by the prospect of joining the parish council because he hopes to use his professional experiences to serve the church and build a firm organizational foundation from which the church can thrive. He’s blessed by the chance to use his gifts for the Kingdom of God.

  • Liz Patterson

    TERM THROUGH JANUARY 2026

Liz has been going to Trinity since she moved to Chicago over three years ago. Her husband Michael, two sons, Noah (3) and Oliver (2), and she have loved it here. In particular, the church's love for our city and the world have drawn them in as well as the steadfast focus on the gospel. After graduating from Iowa State Liz worked for Cru, then as an architect, and currently she stays home taking care of her sons.

We are at an important turning point in our church's life. Liz is excited to be a part of that, to learn from those who have come before us, and to help facilitate the direction we take moving forward.

  • Sarah Cameron

    TERM THROUGH JANUARY 2025

Sarah was born in Canada and moved to the States with her family in elementary school. As the daughter of an Anglican priest, she grew up in the church and has been blessed and formed by the wisdom and compassion of the community of believers around her. Sarah studied architecture and art history at the University of Toronto and currently works in admin at Moody Bible Institute. When she’s not working, she’s embarking on new creative projects or consuming an inordinate amount of sci-fi and fantasy books and shows.

It's an honor to be nominated for parish council, and Sarah is happy to serve this community in this way as it has been such a family to her since she came to Chicago. As she was raised Anglican, she’s more familiar with the aspects of Anglicanism that are newer to some of our congregation and hopes to encourage and grow that understanding in our church. Also, because of her background and life experience, she often approach issues from a slightly different perspective and believes a variety of voices and opinions is vital to the health of any church. She hopes she can serve our church with faith, integrity, and empathy.

  • Tom O'Connor

    TERM THROUGH JANUARY 2026

Tom moved to Chicago after he graduated with a degree in economics from Wheaton College in 2018. Since then, he has been a member at Trinity and has served on our campus ministry team at UIC. Tom is the co-Team Leader of the Chicago Campus Initiative, where he leads a staff team of 8. As a volunteer at Trinity, Tom has served on the transitional council over the past year, he leads the worship team, and he co-leads the Tri-Taylor city group along with his wife Rebekah and Travis and Morgan Pflederer. Tom loves Jesus and his church, and he loves being a part of this gospel community on mission.

Tom wants to be a part of the parish council chiefly because he loves Trinity and he wants to see her thrive. He feels he has gifts in strategic leadership, allocation of resources, and problem-identifying and problem-solving that will be of good use on the parish council. Tom also very much so want to see Trinity Cru at UIC brought more and more into the life of Trinity, for the sake of the campus and for the sake of the church, and he's excited about aiding the parish council in doing this well.
